‘Future captain’ – Man United fans on Twitter cannot wait to see fan favourite tomorrow

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to Ander Herrera’s comments ahead of the FA Cup final on Saturday. The Spanish midfielder won the FA Cup in 2016 when Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 and he’ll be hoping to repeat the feat for the Red Devils in just two days.

The United fans propping our bar up will be looking forward to Saturday as they aim to win their 13th FA Cup, which would draw them level with Arsenal as the English club that’s won the most FA Cups in the history of the competition. Herrera will be a key component in the side if United are to win, with his man-marking job Eden Hazard proving key to United’s victories over Chelsea in recent years.

The Spanish dynamo has been touted as a future captain at Old Trafford, with his passionate displays and love of the club available for all to see making him a prime candidate to take on the armband when Michael Carrick retires at the end of the season. Jose Mourinho will be more focused on winning on Saturday than he will be on the club’s future captain, the FA Cup would be his 3rd major honour in his time at United and will turn an average season into a good one.
