The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were watching Tottenham’s game on Tuesday night with a vested interest. Though most have given up hope of a top-four finish, the Lilywhites’ failure to secure a win has left the door slightly ajar.
Chelsea have been on a pretty poor run of form over the last few weeks, with defeats against the likes of Tottenham and draws against the likes of West Ham putting a rather dark blotch on their season.
In truth, when Chelsea went 2-0 down against Southampton, it seemed as though the players had thrown in the towel. However, after a remarkable comeback, it seems there is fight in the Chelsea dressing room yet.
That fight will likely have only grown on Tuesday, too, with Tottenham succumbing to a 1-1 draw with Brighton. The result could mean, provided that Chelsea win their next two league games, that the Lilywhites could be just two points ahead of the Blues by the time they next play.
There are certainly a lot of cards that need to topple for Chelsea to have any chance, but it doesn’t look like the Stamford Bridge faithful over on Twitter are giving up hope anytime soon.
Chelsea supporters have taken to the social media platform over the last 24 hours to discuss the result, and they’re all saying the same thing – it’s game on for the Chelsea top-four fight!
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
Chelsea play twice before Spurs next kick a Premier League Football. We have an opportunity to get it down to 2 Points in Two League Games. It’s all to play for… come on the Chels! #CFC

Chelsea’s game against Burnley now holds massive importance. Must win and they are 5 behind Spurs. By the time Spurs play next, Chelsea could cut the gap to 2 points as they play before Spurs putting extra pressure on Spurs when they play Watford on the Monday night… #CFC #THFC
