West Ham United failed to impress on Saturday as they were convincingly beaten 2-0 by Watford at the London Stadium.
The Hammers won’t be too fussed about their recent loss as they were beginning to build up ahead of steam under Manuel Pellegrini, so they’re definitely on a good path at this moment in time. And, the London club received a huge transfer boost recently, as according to Takvim (via Sport Witness), Gary Medel is keen to sign for West Ham.
It’s understood that Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel is keen to join West Ham United but the 31-year-old will not force the situation. He wants to play under his compatriot Manuel Pellegrini.
Interestingly, it was previously reported that West Ham officials have held transfer talks in Istanbul and made a £6.3 million offer for the Chile international.
The midfielder is now ready to wait until discussions have been concluded and he will respect any decision made by his club regarding his future.
West Ham United will be desperate to secure the services of the South American as the Hammers have struggled to keep things tight in the middle of the park at times.
Therefore, with the midfield enforcer reportedly keen on making a move to the London Stadium, it comes as a huge boost as he has Premier League experience and would provide defensive solidity.
