Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could head out on loan

Tottenham Hotspur could see one of their fringe players leave the club this summer as the transfer window remains open across Europe.

According to a report by the Daily Mirror, Spurs are prepared to let Georges-Kevin N’Koudou leave on loan, with Mainz thought to be in the running.

It has been claimed that the German outfit are ready to take the winger on a season-long loan and will also have an option to sign the player on a permanent deal following the conclusion of the agreement.

However, the 23-year-old is yet to decide about a switch to the Bundesliga, although it will be difficult for him to make an impact in the first-team.

N’Koudou has struggled to get the opportunities he would have liked at White Hart Lane since joining from Olympique de Marseille and spent time on loan with the French outfit and also Burnley.

Now, it appears another temporary deal could be on the offering, as it looks as though he will not feature for Mauricio Pochettino this season.

The Verdict:

With the player likely to find it difficult to break into the first-team, a loan move would be considered the best option for N’Koudou.

The 23-year-old missed their opening Premier League game with Newcastle United after he was omitted from the matchday squad by Pochettino, giving a strong sense that he will not have many chances to feature.

A move to Mainz could be what the winger needs to get his career back on track, but it remains to be seen if he does decide to go to Germany or possibly wait for another opportunity elsewhere.
