Georges-Kevin N’Koudou nearing Tottenham exit

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of completing a deal that would see one of their players leave the club this summer.

According to a report by France Football, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is closing in on a loan move to Saint-Etienne this summer.

It is claimed that the two sides are very close to an agreement about a temporary switch that includes an option to buy the player on a permanent deal.

N’Koudou is not thought to be apart of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and is thought to be keen on a move back to France to restart his career.

The winger’s chances in north London have been rather limited, however, he has struggled to make an impact when given the chance.

He did impress during their pre-season tour of the United States of America, however, it does not appear to have been enough for Pochettino to consider him.

The Verdict:

A move for N’Koudou is the best possible thing for everyone involved with the deal.

The 23-year-old has struggled in English football, including during the loan spell he had with Burnley last season, and a return to France could be the best thing for him to reach his potential.

Saint-Etienne are in need of a left winger following an injury to their first choice man, so the £6.3million-rated man (via Transfermarkt) could see a run of games in the first-team pretty quickly.
