Chelsea’s Kevin De Bruyne falls into this category. Luckily for him, Metro have claimed that he could well be in line for one.
The publication report that Bayer Leverkusen have made no secret of their admiration for him, and Rudi Voller has even gone a step further when speaking to Germany’s Sky Sports.
He claimed: “We made no secret of our interest in Kevin De Bruyne right from last summer. There are many clubs interested in him.
“Regardless of our league position, we’re always looking for new players.
“It’s possible that we do sign somebody this winter, but then again, we could go into the second half of the season with the same team and look to do something next summer.
“If you do anything, then it’s got to be a top alternative to what we’ve already got here.”
As one of our punters points out, De Bryune has no chance of getting a permanent place in the Chelsea starting line up right now and with the likes of Juan Mata facing time on the bench, what chance does he have?
Should Chelsea allow De Bruyne to leave Stamford Bridge this winter? Let us know your thoughts below.
