Decent players, but certainly not the type to get excited over.
Now German paper Bild reports, Arsenal are one of several sides looking to swoop for Paraguayan international Lucas Barrios. Barrios was a star player for Borussia Dortmund last season scoring 16 goals, but finds himself unsettled this year with only 3 league starts.
He and Dortmund both seem willing to accept a move away, if the club’s £9 million asking price is met. His destination looks certain to be England, but Arsenal will have to compete against Man City and Sunderland for his signature.
Arsenal appear to have missed out on fellow Dortmund player, Mario Gotze, and whilst Barrios may not be of that class, he is a more than suitable consolation. After Henry’s loan finishes Barrios may be the long-term solution as to who can come in for RVP when needed.
