There is some good news for Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the Daily Star claimed that one of their top targets fancies a move to the club.
Marco Reus is looking for a move to David Moyes’ side should the publication – and Reus’ former team-mate be believed.
Mario Gotze of course played with Reus at Borussia Dortmund before his controversial move to Bayern Munich, and it seems that whilst he no longer plays with Reus, he still knows his plans.
Gotze was asked where he thought the BVB star’s future lay and claimed: “When I was at Borussia, Marco wanted a move to Manchester United. This hasn’t changed.”
That is of course great news for David Moyes who has made no secret of the fact he targeted Reus as part of his summer rebuild, and given Reus is proven at the highest level in football, we think he could well become a very big fans favourite rather quickly.
Reus is only 24, and that means that he has his best years ahead of him, and our landlord seems to think they could well be in the Premier League.
Is Reus really keen on joining Moyes’ rebuild of the Red Devils or is this simply a case of Mario Gotze meddling and trying to destabilise Dortmund? Let us know your thoughts below.
