‘Get him signed’, ‘Make or break’ – Tottenham fans urge Pochettino to capitalize on latest transfer development

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t happy with their side’s lack of transfer activity this month. The Lilywhites have been comparatively quiet so far in the transfer market, despite the fact that a number of their rivals have improved their respective teams. Man Utd, for example, have signed Alexis Sanchez, whilst Chelsea have brought in Ross Barkley.

It’s going to be an important week for Tottenham, then, especially if Daniel Levy is looking to invest. He certainly should be looking to do that, given Spurs’ current league position. They’re some way off top spot in the Premier League, and even a top-four finish is far from secure at present.

Frustration certainly seems to be growing amongst Tottenham fans, and recent news surrounding Lucas Moura is beginning to intrigue supporters on Twitter. According to Sky Sports, Moura could be available this month for as little as £23 million – with PSG keen to sell the attacker.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Brazilian over the last few days, with the Daily Mail – for example – suggesting that the club are keeping tabs on him.

At 25-years-old, Moura would be a wise investment for Spurs in that he would be able to remain in the team for the foreseeable future, whilst his technique, quality on the ball and goalscoring threat are likely to endear him to the Spurs faithful.

The fans over on Twitter definitely want to see him join, having taken to the site en masse in an effort to urge Spurs to land the Brazilian winger. Discussing both the reported cut-price value that has been placed on his head as well as recognising the role he could have under Pochettino, they’re desperate for the Argentine manager to bring him in.
