The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are waiting with baited breath to see if their side will make a major signing over the coming weeks.
It’s been a relatively slow summer so far for the Lilywhites, but that is likely to change before the summer comes to an end.
If Sky Sports News are to be believed, that could change sooner rather than later, too. They’re reporting, citing Sky Sources, that the Lilywhites have made their move for Aston Villa man Jack Grealish. A £15 million bid is reportedly on the table, with Daniel Levy clearly keen to get a good deal for him.

Grealish – who is rated at just £4.5 million by Transfer Markt – has enjoyed a pretty steady rise over the last few years, and he was a crucial player for Aston Villa last season. He’s clearly worth far more than his market value, and so it’s easy to see why Tottenham have bid more than that.
Now, though, with the Villains failing to get back into the Premier League, Tottenham are clearly sensing an opportunity to pounce on the talented midfielder. He’s very technical and he offers that technical quality and aggressive edge that has made Dele Alli so effective in the Premier League.
Over on Twitter, the Tottenham fans have responded to the news with delight. They clearly view him as an ideal target, and for a fee of £15 million, the move is even more popular.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

He's homegrown, got the bit of nasty about him, young and should offer more than N'Koudou, Sissoko or Llorente could if Eriksen isn't on the pitch – decent (not exciting) bit of business from Spurs #Grealish

Much rather Grealish coming off the bench over Sissoko. https://t.co/sJS4YL8dk8

Would honestly be happy with Grealish coming to Spurs https://t.co/sXzbOaefPJ

If #spurs get Grealish for £15m that’s brilliant business but can see that figure going up

Would take him
