The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story in The Sun that claims long-term Spurs target, Wilfried Zaha is ready to quit Selhurst Park in a £50 million deal as he targets a return to European football after his Manchester United flop. The Ivorian winger has scored four goals in his last five games and has kicked on this season, with a number of top clubs lining up bids for him.

The Spurs fans propping our bar up have long been divided in their opinions of Zaha. The winger has proven that he can tear up Premier League defences and with his output for goals and assists this season improving as we enter the final stage of the season. Crystal Palace ensured they’d be playing Premier League football next season with their 2-1 win over Stoke and other results going their way, despite the fact they hadn’t picked up a point or scored a goal in their first seven games of the season.
The fact that Zaha has single-handedly dragged Palace through games at times this season really shows what a player he is and what a season he’s had. Tottenham will have been monitoring his progress particularly closely this year, despite the fact they’ve already got Erik Lamela, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura as their current wide-men, plus the on-loan Georges-Kevin N’Koudou who will be returning to North London in summer. The competition will be tough for the Palace man if he is to join Spurs, although it’s yet to be seen whether he’ll make an impact in North London.

Please no, will offer us nothing we don't already have. Son, Lamela, Moura all far better players. #COYS

Another player who for the money their current club wants is no better than what we have. Why are we constantly being linked with average players. We have our best side since the 1960 – 1962 season's and DL should be doing is up most to keep them and buy the best player's.

Zaha is a good player but in my opinion we should bring gareth bale back, we need his experience to upgrade our squad mentality
