The Manchester United fans have struggled to get into the festive spirit in the Transfer Tavern this Christmas following a couple of disappointing results in the 7 days.
The resident Red Devils propping up the bar have been reluctant to admit that the title race is over in recent weeks, but they are now beginning to accept that the Premier League belongs to their local-rivals Manchester City, now that The Citizens have increased their lead at the top of the table to 15 points. City’s domination this season has given the United supporters plenty of cause for concern due to the sheer level of superiority their so-called noisy neighbours have demonstrated.
Considering the extent of City’s lead, United would be wise to write off their title aspirations completely for this season, and begin identifying the areas in their squad that need strengthening to ensure they mount a genuinely competitive title-challenge next time round.
With that being said, Mourinho will need to be focusing on signing players of immense quality if United want to reach the level set by City this season.
And according to The Sun, Mourinho has already identified Juventus star Paulo Dybala as a transfer target for United next month.
The same report claims that The Old Lady have rejected an opening offer from United and are holding out for a higher transfer fee.
Dybala is undoubtedly one of Europe’s finest talents, so it is little surprise to see that United’s interest in the 24-year-old Argentine has generated plenty of enthusiasm from the Red Devils on Twitter.
Here’s what the United fans had to say about a potential move for Dybala…

I'm going to explode if we get Dybala, for now I'm just taking everything with a pinch of salt
If he is really a priority, we would pay anything to get him.. Clear Skies anyways..
Let’s just see how it goes.
