The Tottenham fans in Transfer Tavern are hoping Mauricio Pochettino can land some quality signings to catalyse a dramatic improvement in the clubs form throughout 2018.
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a strong end to 2017 with 4 wins from their final 5 Premier League fixtures this year. Their only defeat was away at Manchester City where they were crushed 4-1 by the league-leaders. However, much to the disappointment of the Lilywhites propping up the bar in the tavern, Tottenham sit outside of the top-four in 5th place after 20 fixtures, with Liverpool marginally ahead by a solitary point.
The opening of the January transfer window next week will give Pochettino a chance to make a handful of necessary additions to his squad, to ensure that his side qualify for the Champions League this season.
There is also the possibility that Danny Rose could be leaving the club in January, with speculation continuing to persist regarding his future at the club.
According to reports in Spanish media outlet AS, Tottenham are lining up a near ready-made replacement for Rose in the shape of Fulham’s highly-regarded youngster Ryan Sessegnon.
At just 17-years-of-age, Sessegnon is one of England’s most promising young talents, and he has already been touted as a future Premier League superstar .
Unsurprisingly, the Tottenham fans on Twitter are delighted to hear that their club have been linked with his signature, and they are keen for the rumours to turn into a concrete transfer story when the window re-opens next month.
Here’s what the supporters had to say about their links with Ryan Sessegnon…
Surely we must make this happen, is young so has potential to be sold on for a lucrative profit, this is right up that git Levys alley!

Hope that’s true, but will Rose or Davies then leave, or do we view Sess as a winger?
