Arsenal have made some great additions to their squad as Unai Emery looks to rebuild the team.

While the Arsenal boss has brought in five new players and possibly even more, there's also a list of players who the Spaniard might want to sell. Moreover, if the club has used up most of the transfer budget, Emery needs to sell the squad players in order to bolster his transfer budget.

Joel Campbell, Carl Jenkinson and Chuba Akpom are among a few players that could be on the selling block. Now TEAMtalk is reporting that Newcastle are targeting a loan move for Danny Welbeck.

The Breakdown

Newcastle have been hunting for a new striker ever since the transfer window opened but as of yet, have not managed to land one. The England striker has never been a great goalscorer but as Newcastle are scrambling to find someone to lead the line, he may just have to do.

From an Arsenal perspective, a permanent deal for the England striker would be the ideal option but it's unlikely many clubs would be willing to offer big money for the striker.

The 27-year-old striker has a year left on his current deal and will likely not be offered a new deal to remain at the club. While Arsenal will likely be keen to receive a transfer fee for the England international, a loan deal might be the best option at this stage.

With Lucas Perez, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang all ready to play in the striker role, it seems Danny Welbeck's playing time this season might be at risk.
