Following David Moyes sacking, Ryan Giggs was given the job for the final games of the season. Many of the punters in the bar believed that this would be his destiny and given the job on a full-time basis. Indeed, the following season he played understudy to Louis Van Gaal though, after Jose Mourinho came in, the Welshman decided his future lay somewhere else.
In the past week, Giggs has been given the Welsh job on a permanent basis, his first managerial post. As you can imagine, our bar staff are eager to see if Giggs can succeed in a managers role as much as he did as a player, and no doubt he’ll be leaning on his former mentors for some worldly advice.
So having said that, our landlord takes a look at two things Giggs must do in the Welsh job to prove to Ed Woodward he can be the next United boss…
