Arsene Wenger’s side were the architects of their own downfall last weekend in their 3-1 defeat against Man United at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal gifted United a dream start to the game as they found themselves 2 down after just 11 minutes courtesy of some hapless defending from the Gunners. Despite creating countless opportunities to turn the game on its head, Arsenal finished the game with nothing to show for their efforts and lost further ground in the title race.

Winning the Premier League title already looks too unrealistic for Arsenal this season considering the dominance of the Manchester clubs so far.

However, Arsenal will certainly fancy their chances of retaining the FA Cup this year after beating both Manchester City and Chelsea on their way to domestic glory last season.

Following the third round draw yesterday, Arsenal’s Twitter page posted a statistic regarding Ian Wright’s performance on their last FA Cup trip to Nottingham Forest…

Despite a few voices of discontent for the former Arsenal hero, the majority of fans were singing the praises of Wright for his contribution to the club.

Either way, the Gunners faithful won’t mind who scores next time they face Forest, as long as they begin their defence of the FA Cup with a victory at The City Ground in January.
