‘Give him a call-up’ – West Ham fans on Twitter desperate for youngster to be rewarded

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for their club’s young attacking midfielder, Marcus Browne to be given a chance in the first team after he netted four times in the club’s Premier League 2 game against Everton. West Ham have almost ensured safety for themselves this season as they sit 14th and six points clear of the relegation zone.

Despite their recent upturn in form that’s seen them beat Southampton 3-0 and draw 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the fans still want to see changes in their starting eleven. The fans were delighted to see that their U23 side had clubbed Everton 4-0 away from home, although when they heard the news that their 20-year-old skipper, had smashed home all four of them the fans were calling for his inclusion in the senior squad.

The Hammers suffered a scare in March as they lost three consecutive matches by a three-goal margin and looked to be in serious danger of relegation to the Championship. Fortunately for David Moyes’ side though, the international break gave them a chance to take a break and gain some unity before their next game. The Irons face Stoke at home in their next game and a win would have the fans breathing easier as the relegation pressure would be almost off, for now though, there is still work to be done for the Hammers with six games left to play.
