‘Go for better options’, ‘Not what we need’ – Man Utd fans aren’t happy as 27-year-old is linked with Old Trafford move

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Jose Mourinho to bring in a few new faces in January. The Red Devils have stumbled somewhat over the last few weeks, having fallen behind Man City in the Premier League, with Chelsea hot on their heels.

Jose Mourinho’s men started the campaign well, but it’s clear that their local rivals are a few steps ahead of them at the moment, and that’s something that the Red Devils need to work on.

The January transfer window is the perfect time to do just that. They’ve not been afraid to spend big in recent years, with big names like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku coming to Old Trafford, and a few more players could help bridge the gap between them and Man City.

That could be what they’re looking to do, with the Sun reporting that Danny Rose is a potential target for Jose Mourinho this month. A proven Premier League talent, on first glance, a move for Rose makes sense.

However, it doesn’t appear to be a very popular move amongst the Old Trafford faithful, with fans taking to social media to respond to the news. Indeed, reaction to the news has been overwhelmingly negative, with fans slamming the idea of the deal.

Citing reasons like the financial cost, alongside the re-emergence of Luke Shaw, Rose isn’t a player that is wanted by the Man Utd fans, it seems.
