‘Goal incoming’ – Man United fans on Twitter loving attacking star’s latest comments

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments from their Chilean star, Alexis Sanchez, as he prepares to face his former side for the first time since swapping The Emirates for Old Trafford in January. Sanchez has claimed that things are different at United, saying that United is a club with more history that wants to win trophies next year. You can see all of Sanchez’s comments on the Manchester United website.

Sunday’s blockbuster match-up between Manchester United and Arsenal is sure to have fans up and down the country crowding around their TVs as Alexis Sanchez faces his former club in what will be Arsene Wenger’s 31st and final trip to Old Trafford as Arsenal manager. In that time, he’s suffered some heavy defeats, namely the 8-2 loss in 2011 and a 6-1 loss in 2001, and he’ll be looking to bow out with a win at the famous old ground.

The Manchester United fans propping our bar up will be hoping they can inflict one more heavy defeat on the Frenchman before he departs The Emirates in summer. Having Alexis Sanchez on top of his game will help with that as the Chilean forward brings goals and assists in abundance when he takes to the pitch. His time in Manchester hasn’t been smooth sailing so far, although his performance against Spurs at Wembley was a step in the right direction that the fans will be hoping to see him build on as he continues his career at Old Trafford.
