‘Going to be incredible’, ‘Another season at Wembley’ – Tottenham fans mixed by club’s Twitter stadium post

Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost significant ground in the title-race last weekend after suffering a 2 nil defeat at Arsenal. The fact that Tottenham started the game as marginal favourites despite playing away from home, demonstrates how quickly the club have developed in recent years to establish themselves as a top-four side. The hierarchy at the club are evidently full of ambition for the future in North-London, and the next step-forward will be to open their new stadium in August 2018 in time for the new season.

And Tottenham took the opportunity to keep their fans updated with the progress of the construction of the new stadium with some aerial photographs via their official Twitter page yesterday.

The post has generated plenty of interest from supporters of The Lilywhite’s who simply cannot wait to see their side play in the new stadium.

On the other hand, a handful of rival supporters used the post as an opportunity to poke fun at Tottenham.

Regardless of who you support, the stadium looks set to be a fine piece of architecture that will serve to further enhance the credibility of the Premier League.
