The Hammers have turned to the likes of Mark Noble and Declan Rice in recent times, so Obiang has found it almost impossible to enjoy regular minutes.
Therefore, with Gold and Sullivan possibly securing the services of another midfielder in January and having witnessed the central midfielder’s disappointing performances, it looks as if his days are numbered.
Aaron Cresswell played a huge part for the Hammers in the last campaign but things just haven’t gone to plan so far this season, with a number of mistakes and a lack of consistency playing a part in his downfall.
So, with Arthur Masuaku currently ahead of him in the pecking order at this moment in time, and with the January transfer window almost upon us, it would come as no surprise if Pellegrini got rid of the underperforming left-back.
