Liverpool have come on leaps and bounds under Jurgen Klopp in the current campaign, but that won't mean anything if they fail to secure silverware from here on in.

The Reds are still in with a great chance of going all the way in the Premier League and the Champions League. and they recently received a monumental boost that could tip the odds in their favour.

According to Liverpool's official website, Joe Gomez has returned to training.

Here's what Jurgen Klopp had to say about the Englishman:

“It is nice – Joe is not injured anymore and nearly fit."

Joe Gomez formed a formidable partnership with Virgil Van Dijk prior to suffering his horrific injury, so Liverpool fans will be desperate to see him back in the first-team ranks. Of course, Joel Matip has come on leaps and bounds alongside the Dutchman in recent times, but Gomez is too good not to reinsert into the starting lineup.

Indeed, with Sadio Mane firing and Mohamed Salah possibly returning to his best once the Premier League resumes, you'd have to say that ensuring defensive solidity must be the priority, which is why Gomez's return is massive.

The England international has all the ingredients to become a future star at Anfield and his strength, pace, tackling and aerial ability makes him a key title ingredient for the Reds, so fans will be delighted that Jurgen Klopp looks set to welcome him back into the side with him nearly being fit.
