Good news for Arsenal ahead of important Sunderland clash

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been fearing the worst regarding Alexis Sanchez’s injury concerns…

Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this week that the Chilean was facing a race to be fit for the Gunners’ next clash against Sunderland, leaving many in the pub concerned.

However, with the important game now just a few hours away, Ben Dinnery has taken to Twitter to provide an update on the matter – and it is good news for Arsenal.

As per Dinnery, Sanchez reportedly trained in full on Monday – leading the Gunners in the pub to presume that he will be fit to feature on Tuesday night.

Unsurprisingly, a roar went up in the Transfer Tavern when this report was read out – as Alexis Sanchez is going to be vital for the Gunners. He has indisputably been their best player this season, with 21 goals so far this year, and if the Gunners are to have any chance of reaching the top four – he will need to play well.

That being said, Arsenal are now relying on other teams slipping up as they look to reach the top four – and our landlord isn’t convinced that they will make it.
