The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are still in the bar celebrating after a remarkable victory against Watford yesterday evening…
A wonder goal from midfielder Emre Can was enough to seal the points for the Reds in what could be a vital game in the context of their season, though it was not all smiles in the Red half of Merseyside.
Indeed, an early injury to Coutinho has marred the win for many fans in the pub – with many fearing that his season could be over.
However, following the game, Jurgen Klopp has provided a hugely positive update for the Reds – revealing that Coutinho’s injury doesn’t look as bad as first feared. According to Liverpool’s official website, he said: “He has a dead leg, hopefully it’s not too serious”.
Certainly, a dead leg is far better news than what a few of the fans in the pub were fearing – with many convinced that Coutinho’s season would be over. According to the BBC, a dead leg can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to heal, and the Liverpool fans in the pub will be hoping that in the case of Coutinho, it is NOT the latter.
Our landlord thinks that the fact that Coutinho was spotted on the touchline after being substituted was certainly a good sign, and he is expecting him to feature again very shortly.
