Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure a Champions League spot, as they continue to assert their dominance in this year’s competition.
The Reds will be looking to secure a Champions League spot for next season as they continue to dominate in the current campaign, with Manchester City up next in the quarter-finals.
Although, the international break did have a negative effect on Liverpool, as defender Joe Gomez suffered an injury during England’s match against Italy. But, fitness expert Ben Dinnery has revealed some positive news for Liverpool fans on Twitter.
Gomez out for "the next couple of games" but Klopp is confident he will play again during the run-in. "It's serious enough to rule him out for the next couple of games. I think we will see Joe back on the pitch. He feels much better but of course we need to be careful." #LFC pic.twitter.com/UeYIbabCkm

This is positive news for Liverpool fans as they still have a chance of silverware in the Champions League, and will also need his quality in the Premier League before the season comes to a close. Indeed, Gomez has been influential in the current campaign as one of the most promising English players, with an accomplished performance never too far away. So, Klopp’s confidence has delighted many of our local Liverpudlians, as he’s been a key member of Liverpool’s defence so far this season.
This is great news for Liverpool as he will have a huge part to play when he returns from injury, as the Reds are now short on cover in the right-back position. And, with there still being a chance of glory in this year’s Champions League competition, many of our local residents are praying that he can make a swift recovery.
