It has been a very successful summer for Man Utd so far, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving it…
Big names like Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku have already moved to Manchester, and with several weeks between now and the end of the transfer window, anything could happen at Old Trafford.
Preparations for the new season are going very well indeed, and now Jose Mourinho has provided some more good news for the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern with just a few weeks to go until the start of the new Premier League season.
Mourinho, speaking to MUTV via the official Man Utd website, has revealed that both Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are edging closer to full fitness, with the manager revealing: “They will probably play on Sunday [against Valerenga]”.
This is great news for the Red Devils, with Jose Mourinho undoubtedly keen to have a full strength squad ahead of the new campaign. Ander Herrera, in particular, is quickly emerging as a key player under Mourinho, and so his fitness will be key ahead of the new campaign.
Though it’s hard to believe, it’s almost time for the next Premier League season, with less than 3 weeks to go until the Red Devils return to competitive action. Mata and Herrera’s returns, then, couldn’t come at a better time – with more than enough time to fully recover ahead of the new campaign.
It’s very important that they gain match fitness, rather than just fitness in training, and so it’s key that they’re back in action as soon as possible.
Both players were very important last season, and they will continue to be vital next year, so the sooner they are back the better.
