Watford have once again got themselves a new manager and will be looking to kick on in the final four months of the season under the stewardship of Javi Gracia.
An excellent start to the season under Marco Silva had many thinking the Hornets could go out and cause a shock to the top four quota, but things have since derailed somewhat, and the new manager will be keen to address quite a few issues at the club.
With January coming to an end shortly, Gracia does not have much time to add any new faces to his squad, but there is still time to go out and nab one or two players, and our landlord here in the Tavern thinks looking down into the Championship could be the ideal starting point.
One such player who has been impressing yet again in the second tier is Leeds United teenager Ronaldo Vieira, who despite not having the blistering impact he did last term, remains a highly-rated prospect by plenty in the footballing community.
Vieira plays with a quality and composure beyond his years, and a move to the top flight has been long mentioned for the young Brazilian.
Watford are exactly the sort of club who like to prize young foreign talent into their ranks, and they even made a move into the Championship last summer, adding Derby County midfielder Will Hughes to the squad.
Vieira though is a different animal, and at 19, he has years to develop and hone his craft to become one of the finest midfielders in the country. Watford and Gracia would be stealing a march on plenty of their rivals if they could complete the signing of the classy midfield ace.
Hornets fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
