The Everton supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely delighted with their team of late and European qualification is looking increasingly likely for next season.
One man who has drawn plaudits from the club’s loyal supporters is central defender Phil Jagielka, with many of the supporters delighted with how the England international is performing at the moment.
It appears that new Granada boss Tony Adams has also been alerted to the current form of the defender, with the Daily Mirror suggesting that he is a summer target for the La Liga outfit.
One of the regular drinkers here in the Tavern has nearly fallen off of his bar stool on hearing this news, stating that Jagielka is good but says the concept of him going to La Liga at the age of 34 seems absurd.
Jagielka netted the Toffees’ first goal in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Burnley and his game has come on leaps and bounds this season after a difficult campaign last time around.
Everton fans, would you like to see Jagielka stay at the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
