Great news emerges for Arsenal amid crucial part of Arsene Wenger’s campaign

Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have had another frustrating season by their standards, which has included the departure of a key man whilst also suffering some embarrassing defeats along the way.

However, the club has managed to make some big-name money signings over the course of the campaign and one of those could be set to make a return back to the first-team after his battle with injury.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Alexandre Lacazette could make his comeback against Stoke City on Sunday, having played his last match on February 10 because of a knee injury. The striker, who joined the Gunners in the summer for £52million had required surgery for the problem, but he is now back in training and is in contention to be considered for the clash with the Potters at the Emirates Stadium.

He may have to start on the bench as his fitness will not be match ready, however, the Arsenal locals will be happy that he should be ready for their tough Europa League clash against CSKA Moscow.

The Gunners host the Russian side at the Emirates on Thursday but will be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the tie as he is ineligible after he appeared for Borussia Dortmund in the earlier stages.

Landlord’s Verdict

Arsenal fans in the Tavern will be delighted with the news that Lacazette has returned to training and could be involved at the weekend and in the Europa League tie, considering they did not have any options for their European match at the top of the line.

While he’s not always convinced, Lacazette’s likely return has delighted our north London locals no end.
