Great news for Man Utd ahead of important clash against Arsenal

The Man Utd fans are feeling markedly more confident ahead of their clash against Arsenal this weekend, having heard an interesting piece of team news…

According to Arsene Wenger (via Sky Sports News), Arsenal midfield stalwart Granit Xhaka is set to miss the game through a fitness issue, having suffered an ankle injury ahead of the clash.

Whilst this is surely bad news for Arsenal, giving Arsene Wenger a headache in the heart of the midfield, it will most certainly come as a boost for Man Utd – with Jose Mourinho undoubtedly looking to secure a win against the Gunners this weekend.

A midfield enforcer, Xhaka’s absence will make Man Utd’s attempts to control the midfield far easier – giving them the edge against the Gunners.

Whilst Xhaka’s season hasn’t exactly gone to plan so far, there have been signs in recent weeks that he is finally getting to his best. A slow start to life at the Emirates raised concerns over his suitability, but there is no doubting that his absence will be a big miss for Arsenal.
