West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be preparing themselves for next season and the latest news could signal that David Moyes will be remaining in charge beyond this year’s campaign.

The Scotsman was brought in to help turn West Ham's season around, and he's done exactly that. Though they're not entirely out of the woods yet, there is no denying that he has overseen quite the rise for the Hammers.

There is a lot of hard work still to be done, of course, but Moyes has proven that he has the ability to improve things at the London Stadium, and so it will come as no real surprise to learn that talks over a new deal are on the way, according to The Times.

Moyes originally only signed on until the end of the season, but clearly, the West Ham brass have been impressed enough to consider giving him an extended term at the helm.

Perhaps more surprisingly, though, is the notion that Moyes could also have control over West Ham's transfer policy. The Hammers have been infamous for their strange transfer dealings in recent years, but The Times are reporting that if Moyes does renew his contract at the club, he's likely to have control over the transfer business that the club conducts.

That would represent quite the shift at the London Stadium, but that's the least that he has earned after impressing since his arrival.

Landlord’s Verdict

David Moyes isn't unanimously supported by West Ham fans, but there is no denying that he has improved things somewhat at the London Stadium.

Having control over transfers is crucial to the long-term prospects of any respective boss, and with Moyes, it will be no different.

If he's able to impress on the transfer front, he could be a great appointment.
