The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been celebrating all day long…
One of the most historic clubs in England, Liverpool have often paid homage to former stars, and whilst under Jurgen Klopp they are busy building a new period of sustained success – the Reds have taken time out to pay tribute to one of their own this week.
As confirmed on the official Liverpool website, the club have decided to name the Centenary Stand at Anfield after a hero of the club – Kenny Dalglish. Aptly titled ‘The Kenny Dalglish Stand’, there is no doubting that the ex-Liverpool ace certainly deserves the honour that has been bestowed upon him.
A regular as a player during his time with the club, and following a couple of successful spells as manager, Kenny Dalglish is a real fan favourite amongst the Reds in the Transfer Tavern, and so it is no surprise that he is remembered fondly amongst fans.
It is a very similar tale on Twitter, with supporters of Liverpool taking to the social media site to celebrate the news. Near unanimously, supporters have been voicing their admiration for the decision…
