Our resident Manchester City fans who are still celebrating the announcement that Pep Guardiola will be their next manager with a pint, have been puzzled by the latest rumours linking their side with a move for Claudio Bravo.
Spanish media outlet AS claim that Guardiola values the Chilean goalkeeper’s ability to use his feet and is keen for City to sign him from his former club Barcelona.
Bravo is the first choice goalkeeper for league fixtures at the Nou Camp outfit, having started 18 league fixtures this term, accumulating 10 clean sheets in the process.
And the word around the Transfer Tavern suggests that Guardiola has urged scouts to monitor the 32-year old.
Bravo has a £30.3 million buyout clause in his current contract, which AS claims would be ‘pocket change for a club like Manchester City, who will be handing Guardiola the keys to the war chest this summer’.
However, the City fans enjoying a pint at the bar are confused as to what the potential implications are for current first choice goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Manchester City fans, would you like to sign Bravo or would you prefer to invest the money elsewhere? Let us know in the comments below!
