Guardiola revolution at Man City set to begin as he plots stunning £39m move for midfielder

XhakaOur resident Manchester City fans are packing up some of their stuff and gathering around the bar as they prepare to travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the FA Cup, but our landlord has intrigued them all with a report in German outlet BILD which claims that City are readying a £39 million bid for Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international is currently playing for Bundesliga outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach, but recently revealed that it would be a dream for him to play in the Premier League, admitting that a move to the Etihad would be difficult to resist.

And with Pep Guardiola’s arrival in the summer expected to mark a transfer window of immense spending, the Bayern Munich boss could be set to make the 23-year old’s dream a reality.

The midfielder has been a mainstay in the Gladbach side this term, starting 16 games, and he has contributed a handful of goals, netting three times.
