Manchester City have been one of the form sides in the Premier League this season, with a second consecutive title on the cards if they can continue to dominate.
The Citizens won’t want to waste any time in mounting a lead at the top of the table, with Liverpool and Chelsea also hunting down silverware in the current campaign. Indeed, it appears as if Pep Guardiola is desperate to secure a big player agreement, as according to Sun Sport, Guardiola has urged Man City chiefs to get Leroy Sane’s new contract over the line.
Pep Guardiola has urged Manchester City chiefs to get Leroy Sane’s new contract over the line.
The German winger’s representatives have been in talks with the club for several months.
Interestingly, the Spaniard had this to say about the 22-year-old:
“No doubt. The club are working on it.
“It’s not for the recent performances — we are not going to extend the contract for that.”
Leroy Sane has established himself as one of the most promising talents in world football in recent years, so it comes as no surprise that he’s in line for a new contract at Manchester City.
Indeed, the German was in fine form prior to the international break and will play a huge part in the race for the title this season, so it’s nice to have his future tied down to avoid any transfer speculation.
