Gunners transfer target drops Arsenal hint

Mario Balotelli - Italy

Arsenal fans are speculating over the future of Mario Balotelli with a pint in the Football Transfer Tavern after the Daily Star revealed the maverick striker had been photographed stood next to the Gunners logo.

It is the clearest hint yet that the 23-year-old is planning a switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer with reports in Italy suggesting the forward is unhappy with life at AC Milan.

The photo emerged on social media having been posted by Balotelli’s girlfriend.

It looks a calculated come-and-get-me-plea from the Italian forward who was reportedly close to joining the Gunners before the World Cup.

Arsene Wenger may now be tempted to step up his efforts to sign the former Manchester City man having already spent big to bring in Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy this summer.

The Gunners are said to be in the market for one more striker to support Olivier Giroud and have been linked with both Balotelli and France international Loic Remy.

Wenger has plenty of money to spend following Arsenal’s kit sponsorship deal with Puma and would be able to meet Milan’s £24 million asking price for the striker.

Arsenal fans. Would you rather see Balotelli or Remy at the Emirates Stadium next season? Let us know your thoughts below.
