‘Haircut of the year’ – Chelsea fans slate Man United star after PFA win

Though many of the punters in the Transfer Tavern retired to their respective homes after El Classico last night, those who supported with teams up for nomination in the PFA awards pulled a late shift propping up the bar. 

So, with the Chelsea fans frequenting in their droves already delighted about beating rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend, seeing N’Golo Kante win the Player of the Year Award has only served up further delight.

Indeed, the west London locals propping up the bar have used Kante’s win to aim a dig at Manchester United counterpart, Paul Pobga. The latter recently suggested he’d had a better season than his compatriot, despite his struggles at Old Trafford, so the Blues in the bar have moved to praise Kante.

Vital to both Leicester City’s title win and perhaps Chelsea’s this year, the midfielder is a hugely popular figure in the Tavern, and here’s how Chelsea fans reacted.
