Reports suggest that the Hammers are poised to make a move for Valeri Bojinov who currently plays for Bulgarian outfit Levski Sofia.
The former Manchester City striker, 28, is allowed to leave the club on a free because of a clause in the striker’s contract.
And the club’s sporting director Georgi Ivanov confirmed the player is in talks regardin a move back to England.
Ivanov, speaking on Bulgarian National Radio, said: “We had to let him go because we have an agreement.
“I allowed him to travel to England because I am contractually required to do so. But he remains a Levski player until he signs with another team.”
