Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to put a poor run of form behind them quickly as they entertain Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday in the early kickoff.
And, it would appear Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been handed a huge boost ahead of the fierce north London derby at the weekend.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Spurs will be able to call upon Harry Kane for the encounter after he managed to avoid any retrospective action from the FA.
The England international appeared to have an altercation with Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta where he appeared to push his head forward into the Spaniard.
There were suggestions that he could be hit with a violent conduct charge – which would have likely resulted in a three-match ban – however, Andre Marriner claimed he saw the incident meaning no further action could be taken.
Kane’s availability for the north London derby against Arsenal on Saturday will come as a huge boost to Pochettino and Tottenham.
Spurs are currently on a poor run of form recently, having suffered back-to-back defeats to Burnley and Chelsea, and will want to ensure they don’t see their fierce rivals inflict a third loss on them to cap off a poor week.
Despite the motivation of being able to have bragging rights, Pochettino’s side will want the three points to ensure a comfortable gap remains between them and the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for fourth.
