Tottenham Hotspur may have been handed some excellent injury news ahead of their game against Burnley at the weekend.
According to a report by ESPN, Harry Kane is believed to be back in full training following the ankle injury he sustained against Manchester United.
The England international may have already missed seven matches because of the knock, however, he was expected to miss a number more with his expected return to be in March.
However, he has handed Mauricio Pochettino’s side a boost as his recovery has gone a lot better than expected.
Kane is now in contention to make the trip to Turf Moor on Saturday, although whether he will be in the team from the start remains to be seen.
Kane’s return to training will come as huge news to Pochettino and Tottenham as they continue in their efforts to challenge for silverware.
Despite missing seven games and being knocked out of both English Cup competitions, Spurs have managed to put one foot into the next round of the Champions League and have also managed to keep pace with both Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
Having their talisman available a lot earlier than expected will be great news and Tottenham will want to kick on with him back in the side.
