Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to challenge some of the big guns for Premier League title this season, despite an unsuccessful summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites have been completely redefined under Mauricio Pochettino over the past few years and don’t look like slowing down anytime soon, with silverware not too far away. Although, it looks as if one of Spurs’ star men is attracting interest, as according to Don Balon, Barcelona are ready to press ahead with a bid for Harry Kane next summer if Luis Suarez’s level drops.
Barcelona are lining up Tottenham striker Harry Kane as the long-term replacement for Luis Suarez
Suarez turns 32 in January and Barcelona are monitoring his performances this season to determine whether the Uruguayan’s level has dropped.
Worryingly, if they notice a dip in his form, then Barcelona are ready to press ahead with a bid for Kane next summer to bring him to Spain.
The Lilywhites will be desperate to hold onto their star man next summer as he has been the source of all things brilliant for the London club in recent years.
Indeed, the forward was the top scorer at the World Cup during the summer and has established himself as one of the best strikers in the whole of world football, so it comes as no surprise that Barcelona are eyeing a swoop for the Englishman if Luis Suarez doesn’t improve.
