Tottenham Hotspur have been rather impressive in recent times as they continue to keep the pressure on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Spurs will now turn their attention towards the Champions League as they’re set to take on Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their round of 32 tie. And, the North London club received a huge boost recently, as according to Mauricio Pochettino during his press conference yesterday (via football.london), Harry Kane is so close to a return.
Harry Kane has been out since defeat against Manchester United last month with an ankle injury.
But, it appears as if the forward is edging ever closer to a return, as Pochettino had this to say:
“He’s doing well, fantastic You know him well, we need to stop everyday because he wants to be ahead of his recovery. He’s very optimists and his determination to play as soon as possible is unbelievable.”
“He’s doing well, he’s nearly ready to play but we need to be realistic too and in between all the areas to take the best decision.”
“I think he’s so close to come back. Not for Sunday or Wednesday, but we will see after.”
Harry Kane, who is valued at £135 million (by Transfermarkt), has been the standout performer for Spurs in the current campaign, so they’ll be desperate to welcome him back as soon as possible.
It comes as a huge boost that the Englishman is close to a return as they could definitely do with his ability to score goals both in the Premier League title race and the Premier League, with silverware possibly on the line.
