With Harry Kane currently the talk of the footballing world thanks to his goalscoring exploits, the forward is on top of the world in terms of the references he is getting from coaches and pundits around the game.
The striker has been in superb form for Spurs for the past three seasons now, and is more or less guaranteed to be a 20 goal a season man from now on.
However, our landlord here in the Tavern has a sneaky feeling that Kane could end up going without trophies during his career unless he moves on, and he believes Kane needs to make the jump and sign for Manchester United if given the chance.
Despite Spurs looking excellent going forward, they have so far come up short in the last two seasons when in with a chance of winning the title, and it’s hard to see how they will ever have a better chance as their rivals continue to splash the cash with ease.
Much like Alan Shearer many years ago who moved to Newcastle to take numerous personal honours but come up short of trophies, Kane should not follow his lead and should push for a move to Old Trafford.
Despite having Romelu Lukaku, the Red Devils always want the best, and the thought of pairing Kane and Lukaku for the primes of their careers is somewhat of a mouthwatering prospect for any football fan, never mind just United fans.
It would be a big decision, but one Kane might ultimately need to make if he is to find himself with a cabinet full of trophies come the end of his career.
