Matoe Kovacic is the name for the future and according to Sportskeeda.com Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is hopeful of tempting the 17 year old superstar to the Lane by offering Dinamo Zagreb double his current value.
This would surely be a fantastic buy for not only Spurs, but any club in the world for the £8 million sum we are talking about. Zagreb would be foolish to let the youngster go for such a small fee and if they can hang on to the attacking midfielder for another season surely the current value would triple.
Giants such as Bayern, Ajax, Inter and Juventus have before attempted to move in on the versatile hotshot but his family have rejected as they are happy in Zagreb.
He made his senior debut earlier this season at the age of 16, becoming the youngest debutant in Croatian history and also found the back of the net. Despite not playing regular for the first team, his name is well known all across Europe and Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley has been sent to keep tabs on the sought after sensation at U’17 level.
Spurs have the Croatian link with the likes of Kranjcar and Modric, Wenger certainly has an eye for up and coming talent and with Barcelona lurking in the shadows… Well who wouldn’t want to play for Barca?
The future is certainly going to be bright for Kovacic and he will be linked with many more clubs, let’s be honest… City aren’t even on the list yet!
But I think his mum might reject any move until he is old enough to fly the nest…
