Manchester City haven't really had the best campaign under Pep Guardiola and it's unlikely now that they can push for the title. It's not been what many punters here at the Transfer Tavern had expected from the arrival of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager!

If Guardiola gets his summer transfer window right then his side should have no problems pushing for the title next season, though for many in the pub, that is too long to wait.

That being said, in the process of City's downfall this season the blame has often been shifted to the players rather than insulting Guardiola's style - which he is still very adamant can work - and for our landlord, that is a bit of a problem. Indeed, Man City's squad is strong, and whilst they haven't been getting the results, a few of Guardiola's players have been unfairly treated this year.

With that being said, it's a bit harsh that these TWO Man City players who are always seemingly scapegoats...

YAYA TOURE

At the start of the season, he wasn't even in the mix and was thought by many to be surplus to requirements at the Etihad.

However, he stormed his way back into the side and hasn't really had to look back since!

Yes he can be lazy on occasion and that laziness is often picked apart by pundits and he can be often blamed and unfairly used as a scapegoat for how bad City have done.

With what he's done for the club he deserves much more credit!

CLAUDIO BRAVO

This is a tough one, even for Bravo himself!

He arrived at City in a somewhat controversial manner when his signing resulted in Hart leaving the club for a loan spell at Torino.

He has made mistakes this season, but the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been blaming him for all their troubles this season - and that just isn't fair.

What's more, he remains solid at what he was brought in to do - play with the ball at his feet and begin attacks. Guardiola knew what he was getting, and he should be taking the flack, not Bravo.
