Fulham won’t be too displeased with the start they’ve made to the current campaign as they already have four points on the board.
The Cottagers failed to make the most of a promising position against Brighton and Hove Albion last time out, which won’t have flattered Slavisa Jokanovic in the slightest. And, to make matters worse, it appears as if a number of clubs are interested in one of the club’s youngsters, as according to the Evening Standard, Manchester City, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are all tracking Harvey Elliott.
It’s understood that the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona are all keeping tabs on Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott.
The midfielder does not turn 16 until April but was this week invited to train with the first-team squad members who have remained at Fulham during the international break.
However, FA rules mean he cannot formally discuss a scholarship deal until January, nor commit to a professional deal until he is 17, which potentially opens the door for other clubs to move in.
There’s no doubt that the youngster is one of the hottest prospects in English football right now and could follow in the footsteps of his teammate Ryan Sessegnon.
The midfielder is attracting the interest from a number of European giants, so it may be difficult for the Cottagers to hold onto him in the future. But, having seen the platform that has been provided for Ryan Sessegnon and how much he has grown, it may persuade the youngster to stay and follow suit.
