Southampton have been very impressive over the festive period, with a number of positive results under Ralph Hasenhuttl’s belt.
The Saints will be desperate to climb up the table and into a promising position in the New Year, with the January transfer window helping their cause massively.
It looks as if Southampton are eyeing a possible swoop, as according to The Mirror, Hasenhuttl is targeting a January move for Omar Elabdellaoui.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has identified Norwegian right-back Omar Elabdellaoui as a potential January target as he looks to secure Premier League safety at Southampton.
It’s understood that Saints have a serious interest in bringing him to St Mary’s when the window opens next week.
He has impressed so far this season for current club Olympiacos, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
Omar Elabdellaoui, who is valued at £3.6 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers over in Greece in the current campaign, along with impressing on the international stage with Norway.
The Saints already have Yan Valery playing at right-back at this moment in time, but bringing Elabdellaoui to the club would help take their quest for safety one step further as he is a very accomplished defender and can produce valuable contributions in the final third.
