The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern were completely mesmerised by their side’s performance against Swansea yesterday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side inflicted further misery onto a hapless and manager-less Swansea City on Boxing Day with a comprehensive 5-0 victory at Anfield. Philippe Coutinho broke the deadlock in spectacular style with just 6 minutes on the clock, as he delightfully curled the ball into the top-right hand corner with precision and power from the edge of the area.
Liverpool then had to be patient to get the better of their opponents as their second goal of the game didn’t arrive until the second-half when Roberto Firmino ghosted in at the back post to volley home a floated free-kick from Coutinho.
It was plain sailing for The Reds for the remainder of the match as Trent Alexander-Arnold scored his first goal for the club before Firmino and Oxlade-Chamberlain completed the rout.
In the aftermath of proceedings, Liverpool’s official Twitter page paid tribute to Simon Mignolet as he made his landmark 200th appearance for the club against Swansea.
@SMignolet made his 200th Reds appearance tonight!
He’s made some stunning saves along the way… pic.twitter.com/3jGgk5dl0S

But judging by the response to the post on Twitter, it seems that the Liverpool fans are very much hoping this will be Mignolet’s final landmark appearance for the club.
The Belgian keeper has struggled for consistency over the years in Liverpool red, and his costly mistakes appear to have made him extremely unpopular with the supporters.
Here’s what The Reds had to say about Mignolet in response to the club post…
He’s made some stunning mistakes as well

The occasional stunning save, broken up by numerous mistakes. He isn't good enough for us, it's as simple as that.
