The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for their club to open the chequebook and bring in Brazilian winger, Willian, from Chelsea. The odds have been slashed on the club signing Willian, according to the Manchester Evening News, despite the fact they already have a number of attacking options.

If Willian was to up stakes and swap Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford it would be a huge move that would shock the Premier League. Willian has been one of Chelsea’s key performers over the last couple of seasons, standing up to be counted alongside the likes of N’Golo Kante, Eden Hazard and Cesar Azpilicueta as one of Chelsea’s most influential players that can be relied upon by Antonio Conte.
Despite this, the winger is 29-years-old and will likely be declining very soon as players in his position often do. This could lead to Chelsea looking to offload the winger for a big fee whilst they still can and with United willing to pay the money, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Brazilian make the move north to play in Manchester. It helps that Jose Mourinho signed the Brazilian for Chelsea as he could be set to reunite with the player in his new job at Old Trafford.

As you can see from the fan reaction, Willian would be a welcome addition to the squad at United and they should look to sign him up early to have him ready for the Premier League season.
