Hernandez and Antonio must start against Huddersfield today - Premier League

West Ham United are definitely heading in the right direction after a poor start to life under Manuel Pellegrini at the London Stadium.

The Hammers secured an impressive 4-2 win over a struggling Burnley side last time out, which helped Pellegrini’s side climb up the Premier League table.

Interestingly, West Ham United will travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Huddersfield Town in their next Premier League fixture. The Terriers managed to secure their first win of the current campaign against Fulham last time out, so they’ll be looking to build on that later on today.

With that in mind, Manuel Pellegrini must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO West Ham stars…

Javier Hernandez

Javier Hernandez has struggled to break into Pellegrini’s plans this season as he continues to feed off scraps, having enjoyed a limited amount of minutes in the side so far.

However, he did grab himself a goal in the dying embers against the Clarets last time out, which could fill him with a lot of confidence and the hunger to go out and score again.

Therefore, Hernandez simply has to start against a vulnerable Huddersfield Town side.

Michail Antonio

Michail Antonio has been completely brushed aside by Pellegrini in the current campaign as he continues to start games on the substitutes’ bench.

With the Hammers struggling for numbers due to a handful of injuries at this moment in time, it comes as some surprise that the Englishman hasn’t enjoyed more minutes on the field.

Indeed, against a Huddersfield Town side that have been vulnerable defensively this season, Pellegrini must make the most of Antonio’s pace and strength as this could help bring all three points back to the English capital.
